Gallery: Crowds rocking it at WisBeach Rock Festival 2023
Sunday’s brighter weather ensured WisBeach Rock Festival in the town’s park was once again a huge success.
Crowds flocked to enjoy performances from the legendary Drifters while other performers on the main stage include The Stereotypes, After House Band, Coonor White, Wild Boys and Platinum Queen.
There was also plenty of home grown talent performing on the local stage with Roy McManus, Songbird and the Crow, Lizzie Bryant and Joe Tierney among them.
As well as all the live music, there was plenty of other entertainment incuding live poetry and steel drumming.
Activities inculded donkey rides, a splash zone, climbing wall, cave experience, a beach area comple with sand and fair rides too.
The event was organised by Wisbech Town Council and Councillor Sam Hoy, the festivals committee chari, said afterwards: “Well what a day! Can I please start by thanking all of the bands, solo artists, poets, comperes and performers – you all put your hearts and souls into your performances and you rocked.”
She also thanked all the many volunteers who help ensure the festival goes off smoothly by acting as stewards as well as helping with the setting up and others who were involved in the technical side, the organisation, including arranging the acts, and looking after public safety and that included the police.
Coun Hoy said: “Thank you all so much. It is a long day and I know you’re all exhausted but just wow… another successful event polished off.
“Finally thank you to you all for com ing and keeping it another good-spirited, safe event. How do top it next year?”
