Gallery: Fenland village school pupils enjoy winter sports fun

Pupils at a Fenland village school celebrated the opening of the Winter Olympics with some fun of their own.

Children at Manea School held a school wide new-age kurling tournament with children from all year groups taking part.

The children were allocated a country that they were competing for and spent some during the week leading up to the event on the opening day of the Olypics (February 4) learning about their country and its traditions.

They even had a go at making flags using a variety of arts and crafts techniques.
