Gallery: March Dog Training Club has restarted and has spaces for canines of all ages

March Dog Training Club is back in action and has spaces available for pooches of all kinds and ages.

The club, which was forced to move from its previous home at March Community Centre after it was revamped at the end of last year, now meets on Wednesday evenings at the Tower Hall in Fridaybridge.

Lessons are held every Wednesday and offer different courses depending on the age and skill level of your dog.

Sessions start at 6pm for puppies with the class lasting 30 minutes to enable a bit of training and for the all important puppy socialisation.

Then from 6.30pm it is the turn of those dogs who have graduated from puppy classes and are ready to learn skills such as walking to heel.

After them comes the Woof Award class this is where dogs learn other new skills by completing tasks such as learning to sit and stay and recall among others.

This session runs from 7.30pm to 8.15pm and then from 8.15pm until 9pm it is the turn of those pets who have already learned those skills and are ready to do trickier things such as scent work.

It costs £5 to join the club for the year and then you pay £3 per session, payable on the night, so if you don't attend you don't pay as it is a non-profit organisation and des not ask for payment upfront.

The courses last for 10 weeks, and those wanting to join need to do so within the first fortnighr/three weeks to benefit fully from the training.
