Gallery: Thousands pack town park for annual WisBEACH Rock Festival
Crowds packed Wisbech Town Park yesterday for the annual WisBEACH Rock Festival which saw performances on not one but two stages.
The Manfreds, formed in 1991 by key members of the 1960s group Manfred Mann, was the headline act – arriving in Fenland just weeks after playing Glastonbury.
Keyboardist Mick d’Abo, who only makes a few appearances these days, was among the band’s lineup as they had audiences dancing and singing along.
Other performances on the main stage included Ska Britannia, Paul Larcombe: Pure Presley; Highway Star and Omega Bad.
The local stage saw acts from across the area perform showcasing a raft of home grown talent including Kill Me Kate, Purple Angels, Kissed by Vultures, Joe Tierney, and Roy McManus.
Elsewhere in the park, there was lots of fun to be had with a beach area for children to build sandcastles, there were inflatables, mini-golf, donkeys, a splash area, and even the chance to try bull-riding.
Once again the event was organised by Wisbech Town Council who were delighted with the success of the day which was made possible by a team of dedicated volunteers who ensured everything went off without a hitch.
