Gallery: Gorefield celebrates jubilee with special flower festival

Gorefield parish church has marked the Queen's Jubilee with a special flower festival celebrating her favourite homes.

Organised by Rosemary Peggs the festival is open to the public from today (Thursday) until Sunday.

There are a number of displays including a special coronation creation at the altar.

Other displays depict places like Windsor Castle and Balmoral.

There are also displays around the font as well as pictures of the Queen drawn by the local school children and a table of Royal memorabilia.

On Saturday Gorefield Village Hall is hosting an exhibition of photos of the village past and present and there is also a picnic on the playing field.

The church is open until 4pm today, and will re-open from 11am to 4pm tomorrow and Saturday. On Sunday visitors are welcome between 12pm and 4pm.
