Re ‘Don’t blame it on the elderly’ (Readers’ Views, January 8).

What bigoted nonsense some people spout. Why does David Silver not apportion blame for the current economic state of the nation to where it properly belongs?

Cuts to local government, the NHS, schools, social care, housing, etc, are the true reason for the present state of the nation.

Don’t blame it on anyone but the Government.
