Harry's blooming marvellous gift to Chatteris in Bloom

A Chatteris schoolboy has completed a blooming marvellous fundraising effort in aid of the town's In Bloom group.

Harry Chapman, a pupil at the Cromwll Community College primary phase, took on a sponsored read-a-thon through the school holidays, with the aim of reading as many books as possible - all while raising money.

On Saturday Harry met up with Chatteris in Bloom chair Tina Prior to handover the £157.20 he raised by his efforts.

Tina in turn presented Harry with a certificate as a thank-you and In Bloom fundraiser Gloria Prior also presented him with a board game

Tina said: "This fabulous amount will help us buy more flowers for next year.

"Harry wanted to support us as he enjoys seeing the flowers and often does litter-picking on his way to school with his mum. Thank you Harry you're a star."
