Have you seen George the border collie? He is missing from his Wisbech home

A Wisbech couple have put out a desperate plea to help find their missing dog, George.

The blue merle border collie disappeared from the garden of Donna Donschak and her partner Richard Hussey's home on South Brink at around 5pm last Tuesday (24).

Despite a desperate search and the help of a dog tracker the couple have been unable to find any trace of George, who is around 14 years old.

Donna and Richard live in School House on the A47 South Brink located between Crooked Bank and Nettle Bank. They have been out searching for George, who Donna rescued as a two-year-old when she was living in Wales.

She said: "He came out into the garden with me when I went to get the laundry in. I called him to come in but he didn't appear. He is normally very obedient, even if he got out of the garden he wouldn't just run off. He is elderly and has arthritis and doesn't run so well.

"We have been out looking for him, we have checked the ditches and dykes, walked around the fields calling him. We had a tracker dog come and he followed the scent but just stopped dead right outside the gate. It looks as if someone has taken him in a vehicle, it is the only explanation as there is just no sign of him.

"He is very friendly."

George is quite grey because of his age, he has a large white speck in one and weighs around 22kilos. Donna and Richard are willing to pay a reward for his return and are appealing for anyone who may have seen him to get in touch either via Richard's Facebook page or by calling 07796167479.
