Taxi and private hire firm Swift Transport based in Whittlesey goes nationwide connecting residents from across country and overseas
A long-standing taxi business has launched a nationwide service for its app in a bold new move to enhance customer experience.
With the introduction of a national taxi network, Swift Transport, based in Whittlesey, can give its customers the convenience of using the same app everywhere they go.
The national taxi network has the potential to encompass some 60,000 licensed drivers from the smallest towns and hamlets to the largest cities, the length and breadth of the UK.
Commenting on the launch of their nationwide trip booking app, Gurninder Singh Gill, managing director of Swift Transport and Haulage Ltd said: “When you book a cab with a local company like Swift Transport, the money remains in the local community.
“It’s reinvested in the local economy and helps support our community in numerous ways.”
Swift Transport is a firm believer in community building and engagement. From regular donations to charity to offering free taxi services throughout the year including Christmas Day, they ensure that local residents stay connected.
Gurninder added: “As licensed and regulated operators we are the safest, most reliable option. For us its not just about running a business, it is about running a community business.
“We are local and we are now calling on our community to support local. The new roaming feature on our app means that even when our passengers are out of town they can still support us, and other local taxi and private hire fleets like us all over the UK.”
Swift Transport is participating in the ‘Love Local Taxi and Private Hire' campaign, an iCabbi initiative to raise awareness of the value of hire firms.
To celebrate this, Swift Transport is offering free taxis to customers booking via the Swift Transport App in Wisbech.
The app is available to download on both the Apple App and Google Play stores. In the coming weeks, the reach of the Swift Transport app will also extend to Spain, and soon, more European destinations will be added.
