Homes evacuated on Cherry Road in Wisbech after unexploded device discovered in garden




An unexploded device was found in the garden of a Wisbech home this morning - causing 20 homes to be evacuated.

Police are currently at the scene of the Cherry Road property and people are being advised to avoid the area.

Officers were called at 9.11am after the unexploded device was found in the garden of the property.

A cordon has been put in place as a precaution and people are being advised to avoid the area.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit has been called to assist.
