Chatteris horse rescue

Firefighters were called to rescue a horse that had fallen into a ditch in Chatteris on Monday afternoon.

With assistance from a nearby farmer and his reach forklift, crews from Chatteris, Sutton and Dogsthorpe rescued the animal, which had fallen into Sixteen Foot Bank.

After being checked out by the vet, she was found to have no serious injuries and is now recovering well at home with her owner.
