King's Lynn hospital announces four new coronavirus deaths

A further four patients have died after testing positive for coronavirus at Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital, officials have announced today.

That takes the total number of fatalities there since the outbreak to 98.

But officials have also revealed that another two patients have been discharged, increasing that total to 154.

Chief executive Caroline Shaw said a short time ago: "I can confirm today that a further four patients – three men and a woman aged between 68 and 90 – who had tested positive for COVID-19 have sadly died while being cared for at our hospital.

"Our thoughts are with their relatives and loved ones.”
