'Doddington Hospital can’t keep using Covid excuse,' says letter writer

Currently Doddington Hospital is not answering telephone calls and are not doing appointments in the hospital.

Clinics have been closed, with no intentions of opening, people have to travel to Peterborough for necessary treatment. This is not acceptable and is not without cost and is extremely difficult for older people who are not getting the help.

The hospital cannot and should not be allowed to continue in this manner, still using the excuse of Covid despite the health secretary’s announcement that treatments should return to normal.

Additionally, the fact that there are plans to build hudreds of homes in and around March is shocking as there is no infrastructure to cope with the demand placed on the NHS and other services.
