Long Sutton Horse and Pony event at Cinder Ash Park sees animal enthusiasts enjoy the show
A town equestrian event brought out animal enthusiasts — and raised valuable funds for a good cause.
The recent Long Sutton Horse and Pony show had a good turnout of spectators watching riders and animals perform at Cinder Ash Park and raised £1,000.
Organiser Dawn Clarke runs the event with Lisa Kerwood, and attractions included trade and craft stalls.
Mrs Clarke said: “All the profits go back to local charities.
“It was great to see people come out and enjoy the horse show and see the animals.
“We really enjoyed seeing people with their horses and dogs having fun.”
Previous events have raised funds for various causes including Long Sutton Foodbank, a wheelchair for Age Concern, plus the village’s scouts and hockey club and Baptist church.
Mrs Clarke was pleased to see 200 entries for the horse show and 150 for the dog show which has been the largest amount since before the pandemic. She said she is always keen for charity ideas.
She also expressed thanks to sponsors who help to cover the cost of the show.
