A decision to close NatWest Bank in Long Sutton has put the future of three jobs in question.

The rising trend of online banking and a drop in the number of people using branches has been blamed for the decision to shut the branch in Market Place on December 1.

In a statement, NatWest said it had “reached an agreement with the local Post Office” where customers can check balances, pay in and withdraw cash and business customers can get coinage.

A spokesman added: “There are three staff who work at the branch and we are consulting with them on their options.”
