Burrowmoor Primary Academy in March held its first bouncy castle family fun day filled with ‘joy and laughter’
Burrowmoor Primary Academy in March was bursting with joy and laughter as the school hosted its first-ever bouncy castle family fun day.
Held in partnership with Storm Bouncy Kastles and the Friends of Burrowmoor Primary Academy (FOB), the ‘Bounce at Burrowmoor’ event last Saturday transformed the school area into a playground of inflatable fun, featuring seven large bouncy castles that kept children entertained for hours.
The sunny weather matched the warm atmosphere as more than 150 children and more than 100 adults gathered to enjoy not only the inflatables but also a lively tombola and the ever-popular FOB fundraising stall.
The event was more than just fun - it was a fundraiser too. Thanks to the enthusiastic turnout and generous support, £500 was raised towards new play equipment for the school field, helping to enrich outdoor learning and play for all of its pupils.
Ruth Bailey, head teacher, said: “We are incredibly proud of the community we have here. Events like this remind us of the power of working together.”
Staff from Burrowmoor Primary also turned out in support, adding to the day’s friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The event underscored the strong bond between the school, its families, and the wider community.
