Judges are lining up for finalists visits in Fenland Citizen Business Awards 2025
Local business owners shortlisted in the Fenland Citizen Business Awards have been looking forward to the next round of the judging process.
Judges in each category will be visiting those shortlisted to find out more about the firms and the people behind them.
The will use a 30-minute visit to ask lots of questions to really find out how the finalists tick and they will then use that information to help with the tricky task of choosing a winner.
When the shortlist of those chosen finalists was announced in last week’s Citizen many of the business owners took to social media to express their delight at being in the running for one of the prestigious awards.
It was a really difficult job to narrow the field to just two or three for the shortlist in each category.
The winners will be announced at a glitzy awards ceremony being held at March Braza Club in Elm Road on Friday, March 14.
The awards are being brought to you by Iliffe Media, publishers of the Fenland Citizen, and this is the third year running we are celebrating the brilliant businesses we have across our district.
Each finalist will receive two tickets per business for our gala awards night, which includes a three-course dinner.

Top accountancy firm Whitings LLP has already been announced as the headline sponsor for this event, which will kick-off at 6.30pm with a drinks reception, the meal will follow at 7pm and then the awards ceremony itself will commence around 9pm with all the winners for 2025 being revealed.
Whitings are also sponsoring the Business of the Year category, joining a line-up of other companies keen to be associated with this event, which one of the top calendar dates for companies in our area.
The Fenland Citizen Business Awards showcase business achievements across ten categories, chosen to give businesses, individuals, and charities the chance to tell their success stories.
Categories carrying awards for 2025 are Best Social Enterprise (sponsored by Clarion Futures); Best New Start-Up (sponsored by Goldstar Metal Traders); Customer Care; Businessperson of the Year (sponsored by Mapus-Smith and Lemmon); Agriculture and Environment Champion (sponsored by Fraser Dawbarns), Retail and Hospitality (sponsored by Fenmarc), Business of the Year (sponsored by Whitings LLP), Business Innovation and Employer of the Year (both sponsored by Nestle Purina) and Team of the Year.
