March speed vow reminder
In March this year a car ploughed through five gardens in Norwood Road, March. Luckily, there were no injuries.
A short while after an action group had a meeting with Coun Jan French to thrash out how to deal with the issue of idiot drivers that speed along Norwood Road and Hundred Road.
Coun French was very sympathetic and promised action would be taken. She put forward the idea that a mobile speed warning sign should be the first step, and that Norwood Road would be the next place for the mobile speed flashing lights, as a matter of urgency.
We are nine months from that meeting and still awaiting this. I am not having a go at you Jan and Co, I know that you have had a lot to deal with. This letter is a reminder to you, just in case the issue had slipped your minds.
The weather is turning colder, the roads more slippery, but common sense is not returning. Please do something, before we’re having to speak in terms of hindsight or regret.
This Christmas we just want one present – help and safety!
Ashley Smith,
March.
