Just the card as two retail chains announce opening of new Fenland stores
Two well-known high street brands are set to open their doors in a Fenland town centre this month.
The first is Poundstretcher which is set to open its doors in Broad Street, March on Monday (September 4).
The budget chain has taken over and refurbished the former M & Co store, which closed earlier this summer.
It is due to open at 9am on Monday and the shop will include the popular Pet Hut section, as well as all its usual household cleaning products, home ware and much more.
Gerry Loughran, property director, said the company was excited to be opening in March and bringing its offers and products to the town’s shoppers.
He added the team has been working hard to deliver an outstanding shopping experience, great service, and an enjoyable shopping environment for all our old and new customers.
The March store is among a number the chain announced it would be opening this year and is the first of the new shops opening their doors this month. Other Poundstretchers opening in September are in Gillingham, St Neots and Swansea.
The second chain to arrive in the town is the Card Factory, workers are currently on site refurbishing the former Nottingham Building Society premises, which is located a few doors up from Poundstretcher on the corner of Broad Street and Station Road.
The shop, which started recruiting for staff earlier this summer, is due to open on Saturday September 9.
