A breast care unit has received a high-flying bonus thanks to a charitable Wisbech pigeon fancier.

Alan Maile raised £600 for the unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn by running a bonus ball on his Facebook group, In The Loft.

His friends Steve and Lesley Wright, from Bodmin, Cornwall, gifted a bird valued at £500 for the cause.

Alan decided to donate to the clinic with the assistance of his sister-in-law Rachel Dixon, who has recently been treated at the unit and could not praise the staff enough.
