King's Lynn's hospital further tightens restrictions on visiting
Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn has further strengthened restrictions to visiting as it responds to Covid-19.
The new restrictions aim to reduce the number of visitors to the site (with a limited number of exceptions) and are necessary to protect patients, according to the hospital management.
Inpatients with Covid-19 and patients awaiting test results for Covid-19 should not receive visitors.
Visiting is no longer allowed on our wards until further notice – with these exceptions:
• One parent permitted to accompany children
• One birthing partner permitted to attend in the maternity department
• One carer is permitted in the emergency department (but must remain with the patient at all
times)
• Exceptions can be discussed with ward managers if your relative is receiving end-of-life care.
Five patients are in critical condition with coronavirus in the hospital and a total of 18 have tested positive in all. Two people died last week of the disease and one has been discharged.
