Latest on Wisbech murder: Men appear in court
Two men charged with the murder of a man in Wisbech have appeared in court as the victim is informally named.
The body, which is said to be that of Mindaugas Arlauskas, 28, was discovered at about 5.10am on Saturday (9) outside an industrial unit in Sandall Road, Wisbech.
A post mortem examination carried out by Dr Ben Swift at Peterborough City Hospital yesterday (Monday) concluded the man died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.
Tomas Lazdauskas, 23 of Milner Road, Wisbech and Donatas Umbrasas, 27 of Albany Road, Wisbech, were both charged with murder this morning.
They appeared via video link at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court today (12 May) for their first hearing and were remanded in custody.
The men stand accused of murdering Mr Arlauskas, of Princes Road, Wisbech. However, formal ID of the victim has not yet taken place.
A further court hearing is scheduled for Thursday (May) 14 at Cambridge Crown Court.
