Live wrestling event is true homecoming for former March man Alec Burnitt

Fans of live wrestling are in for a treat this weekend with an event at the United Services Club in March.

Former Neale-Wade student Alec Burnitt, a life-long wrestling fan, is bringing one of his DOA Wrestling live events to his home town.

He started these events in the town in 2013 at the United Services Club so it is a real home coming for 35-year-old Alec.

Among the stars set to appear is Rexx Wylde - who was among the wrestlers to take part in the first show nine years ago.

The main event will see Damien taking on Mitchell Starr as the main event, in this WWE-style wresting.

Alec's DOA Wrestling events have been running all over the country since 2013 and they are aired on FITE TV each month.

Saturday show will be recording as a special for FITE TV and Alec, who plays in a band with well-known local performer Tom Harlock, is hoping to attract as many people as possible.

The doors open at 7pm with the action starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8 for children, £12 for adults and £30 for families.

Alec added: "It promises to be a great night of wrestling and the show is suitable for all ages, so it would be great to see as many people as possible come along and cheer their favourites on."
