A Fenland artist will be exhibiting her work in another prestigious London gallery later this year.

Louise Stebbing was one of just a few artists selected for the Summer Exhibition at The Royal Academy, London, which is one of the biggest art events of the year.

The linocut “Waiting for Spring” started out in January when Louise went out drawing in the local orchard owned by Goodale’s. At the time she had one thing in mind – to enter the summer exhibition at the Royal Academy.

The exhibition finished on Sunday.

Louise is working on another linocut of the orchard in spring and hopes to do another of the apples being picked.

Later this year Louise will be exhibiting at another prestigious London venue, the Bankside Gallery.
