Wisbech man charged with drink-driving after failing breath test at Elm




A man is due in court next month after being charged with drink-driving at nearly four times the limit.

Officers pulled over a car on Elm High Road in Elm at around 1pm yesterday (Tuesday).

A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after failing a roadside breath test. He was taken to the King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Subsequently, Gobinath Ramasamy, 36, of Lonsdale Terrace in Wisbech, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle with 119mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

The legal limit is 35mcg.

Ramasamy has been bailed to appear at King’s Lynn Magistrates Court on May 6.
