Man found dead in same house as Wimblington murder victim is named
Officers investigating the murder of a woman from Wimblington have named a man found dead in the same incident.
The bodies of Benjamin Green (41) and Maddie Durdant-Hollamby (22) were found at his home in Slate Drive, Kettering shortly after 1pm on Friday, August 27, following a report of concern for Ms Durdant-Hollamby’s welfare.
A major investigation was launched into the circumstances of the two deaths, with detectives announcing on Sunday that they are treating Ms Durdant-Hollamby’s death as murder, and are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.
Both Ms Durdant-Hollamby’s and Mr Green’s families are being supported by specially-trained officers from the Force’s Major Crime Investigation Team.
Senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Nicole Main, said: “While we await a formal identification of Benjamin, we have taken the step of naming him today with the support of his family.
“We understand he and Maddie had been in a relationship, and are working to establish as much as is possible about the circumstances in which they died.
“This is an incredibly sad case, and we ask that the grief and privacy of both families are respected by the media as they mourn their loved ones. They are overwhelmed with sadness and have asked that they be left in peace at this terribly distressing time.”
The investigation into the deaths of Ms Durdant-Hollamby and Mr Green continues, and anyone with any relevant information is asked to call 101 or submit it online here: https://mipp.police.uk/operation/33EM21D79-PO1
