Man taken to Huntingdon hospital after crash between Manea and Wimblington




A man has been rushed to hospital after a two-vehicle crash which left a car in a ditch.

Fire crews and paramedics were among the emergency services called to Manea Road, between Wimblington and Manea, shortly before 9.55am this morning.

Police have confirmed that the collision involved two cars, with one leaving the road and residing in a ditch.

Fire crews from March used specialist equipment to release a man from that vehicle, and he was left in the care of ambulance crews.

Firefighters returned to their station by 12pm.

Paramedics sent one ambulance and an ambulance officer vehicle to the scene.

One man was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon for further care.
