Prosecutor Lily Orr told the court that on Thursday, March 31, two males stole 9 wheels from the rear of a garden of a property.

The theft was later discovered by the owner of the wheels, who checked their CCTV once noticing their disappearance.

Scott was later discovered driving along the A10 without any insurance, he was then arrested for the theft.

Mitigating, George Sorrell said: "This came about because Mr Scott is employed.

"He was in a desperate financial situation and was desperate for money."

Mr Sorrell explained that Scott found the whereabouts of the wheels by delivering flyers.

Scott has two previous theft offences, the recent being in 2019.

He was ordered by the magistrates to pay £1,500 compensation to the owner of the wheels.

Scott was also given a 12 month community order with 120 hours of unpaid work.

For driving without insurance, six points were added to his licence.
