Man taken to hospital with stab wounds after incident in Wisbech




Police say a man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in Wisbech on Friday evening.

The incident happened in Market Place at 8.50pm and that area of the town centre was taped off over the weekend, with a police presence remaining in the area.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said today: “We were called at 8.50pm on Friday (September 22) with reports of violence involving two men in Market Place, Wisbech.

“The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital to receive treatment for stab wounds. He has since been discharged. An investigation is ongoing.”
