35-year-old to appear in court today for wounding with intent after man was stabbed on Church Terrace in Wisbech

A man will appear in front of a bench of magistrates today over a stabbing incident which left one person seriously injured.

Police were called at 12.25pm on Monday to reports of a man being stabbed on Church Terrace in Wisbech.

Emergency services including paramedics attended the scene, and the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 35-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with suspicion of wounding with intent.

He will appear at Peterborough Magistrates Court today.
