March air cadets have completed a two day expedition in Norfolk as part of their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. Two groups from Air Cadets from 1220 (March) Squadron Air Training Corps were self sufficient throughout, carrying their own food, supplies and tents.

On day one the teams walked from Whissonsett to the campsite at Coxford.

Day two took them through some attractive villages and finished, as planned, in Little Massingham.

After completing his expedition, Cadet Joshua Birchnall, 14, said “Physically and mentally challenging it was the best DofE experience I’ve had yet. I enjoyed the scenery; some of the buildings we passed were really interesting. The pigs were good too!”

The cadets now have to ensure completion of the other three elements on the Duke of Edinburgh award to be awarded with their Bronze badges.
