March Neale-Wade Academy student Rose-Marie faces the chop for fundraising feat
A student from Neale Wade Academy in March is taking on a series of fundraising challenges to subsidise a volunteering trip to Cambodia.
Rose-Marie Holden snipped off several inches at Hairshare, in King's Lynn, on Saturday to raise money for her four-week trip.
She said: "I am participating in an expedition to Cambodia in 2019 with Camps International.
"This will be a four-week expedition and will include community development work, environmental project and wildlife conservation. It will also include the chance for me to go scuba diving."
Hoping to raise £2,000, Rose-Marie is also selling her old clothes and toys at car boots and making cushions to sell at village and school fetes.
She added: "This expedition is extremely important to me because I feel that I will acquire and develop many important life skills such as team building skills, helping others less fortunate than myself."
