March sisters complete virtual run with help of mum




March sisters Roma O'Neil and Tamara Thompson, have completed the Virtual Great North Run for their mum and children with cancer.

Roma, 63, and Tamara , 52, signed up for Sunday's race, to help the Children's Cancer UK charity and chosen after their mum Audrey Hindle also of March chose to have donations for the charity instead of presents for her 91st birthday in July.

The pair who ran the 13.1 miles together completed the challenge with the help of Audrey, who accompanied them for the final few feet to walk across the finishing line.

They completed the distance in 2hours 56 minutes and 50 seconds with the support of their husbands who did water stations along the route.
