Massive thank-you to people of March after amazing Poppy Appeal

A Fenland town is being thanked after raising nearly £30,000 for the annual Poppy Appeal.

Kay Larham, Poppy Appeal organiser for March, has issues a massive thanks to residents who supported this year's campaign.

She said: "A huge thank you to all businesses, organisations, schools and individuals who supported our 100th Poppy Appeal this year.

"To the staff in Lidl, Sainsbury's and Tesco for welcoming our collectors in store, to our army of volunteers who manned the stands, delivered and collected in poppy boxes, helped with counting and carried out street and house to house collections.

"To Linda and Terry Stevens March Braza Club for hosting the Poppy Dance, and to all those who supported the event which raised £1,085 and last but not least the people of March for their continued generosity.To date the total raised in March is £28,628.83.
