Only Fool and Motors club announces first meeting of the year to bring car lovers together while raising money for charity
A couple who set up a car club have announced their first meet of the year which will help raise money for a charity.
Ali Dodd and her husband Matt founded Only Fools and Motors in 2019.
They wanted to create a club that had a wide variety of vehicles and members, rather than sticking to one particular brand or theme.
The couple have been hosting regular meets raising money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, and have so far raised just over £5,000.
That specific charity was chosen because they feel it is more of an essential service needing constant support.
Ali said: “Being petrol heads, most of us in some way have an unfortunate connection to the EAAA, and want to support it in any way we can.”
Their first meet for the year will take place on Saturday, May 4, at the Five Bells in Tydd St Mary, starting at 2pm.
The club can be found on Facebook - Only Fools and Motors - where all details for this and future meets will be posted.
All types of vehicles are welcome, from modern cars and bikes, to classic VWs, trucks, tractors and everything in between.
There is a suggestion of a £1 donation per person but people are encouraged to give what they can.
