Thea Coffee House will bring Greek cuisine to Long Sutton
A new café will be offering a taste of Greek cuisine when it opens on a town’s high street.
Thea Coffee House is due to open at the end of the month or early September at 9 High Street in Long Sutton.
Owner Vasiliki Nastou will be running the eatery with family, including sister Aimiliana, 36, and they are helping to renovate the bar in preparation for the big opening.
Mrs Nastou, 40, who lives in Spalding, said: “It is a café, bakery and restaurant and we will offer brunch, breakfast and lunch.
“Half of the products will come from Greece and homemade dishes such as spinach pie, Greek feta pie and pizzas.
“There will be teas and coffees of course and carrot cake, Greek cakes, chocolate and orange cakes that are more juicy.”
“The tasty menu also includes homemade cake with oats and Greek sweets and wraps with meat, tomato, tzatziki, onion and potato.”
First time business owner Vasiliki used to live in North London and moved to the area six months ago looking for a premises to rent.
She hopes the new venture will offer job opportunities in the town.
She said: “This is my first business and Long Sutton is very nice.
“It is hard to find jobs here and it has not been easy to find a place.
“I decided to open it here and my husband will work here and we will maybe have two people part time.”
But to ensure the site is ready for the grand opening, the family have a lot to do.
She said: “We are doing the renovations and I have been ordering the equipment.
“We have a lot to do but I have a lot of help to do it.”
The café will offer a sit in and takeaway service.
