New village sign commemorates Doddington's 100 years of WI

LEARN MOREA new village sign was erected to commemorate Doddington WI’s 100 years.
The modern stainless steel sign was designed and donated by Stainless Metalcraft of Chatteris.
Stainless Metalcraft representatives Stephen and Jayne Buttriss, first year apprentice Joshua Hatcher and third year apprentice Christpher Budd, joined the unveiling. Christopher was also involved in designing the sign.
There was a good turnout of spectators as the sign was unveiled by Ruth Hufton, chairman of the parish council and the sign was handed over to the parish council.
Sue Marchant, radio presenter for Radio Cambridgeshire, attended the unveiling and the event was broadcast on her afternoon programme called “Runaround Sue”.
Members, guests and councillors then attended a celebratory lunch.
