New warning over raves in the Suttons and Tydd areas
Farmers and landowners in Sutton Bridge and Tydd St Mary are being warned after a rave in nearby Walpole Marsh on Sunday.
People are advised to be vigilant of any suspicious behaviour, especially mass gatherings of people around barns in isolated areas or large groups of vehicles in remote rural areas.
A very small gathering was swiftly disrupted by officers who seized power leads before any music could be played
Commenting on Sunday’s incident, a Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “A very small gathering in the morning was swiftly disrupted by officers who seized power leads before any music could be played, resulting in everyone going home.”
Meanwhile, a car was stripped of its number plates while parked in an area of Sutton St James earlier this week.
Thieves targeted a red Vauxhall Astra in Festival Square, near Sutton St James Baptist Church, between 4pm on Monday and 8.40am on Tuesday.
Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident 88 of October 13.
