Police issue driver with section 59 warning during patrols in Chatteris after receiving complaints about vehicle nuisance

Police were out on a late-night patrol after receiving complaints about a vehicle nuisance.

Fenland neighbourhood officers took advantage of their late shifts on Thursday by carrying out evening patrols in Chatteris after receiving the complaints.

The team stopped and spoke to those who were out and about, with one driver being issued with a section 59 warning.

This means if the vehicle or the driver is found to be involved in anti-social behaviour again, the vehicle can be seized.

A spokesperson for the police said they will continue this work when they can to address the issue.
