Wisbech collision sees one person airlifted to hospital




A person has been airlifted to hospital following a crash on a major Wisbech road today (Wednesday).

Police were called to the one vehicle collision on Barton Road at around 11:20am and closed the road as a result.

The force has confirmed that one person has been airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital in a serious condition.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said "At 11:20am police were contacted in regards to a RTC at Barton Road, Wisbech.

"Police attended the single vehicle accident and one person is believed in be in a serious condition in hospital at this time."

It has been confirmed that the road has now reopened.
