Angles Theatre in Wisbech sees sell-out success for annual Christmas panto
The curtain will come down later today (Sunday) for the final time on this year’s Angles Theatre Christmas pantomime.
Performed by the Angles’ RATz Theatre Company this year’s fun adventure was a ‘big top pantomime’ which was just right for audiences.
With every show practically sold out, including today’s matinee, Goldilocks and the Three Bears has proved a massive hit for the theatre.
The traditional family panto featured Dame Gertie Gallop who runs a circus with her son, Silly Billy, but they have fallen on hard times.
Particularly with the dastardly Ringmaster Heinkel, owner of the rival circus, up to his old tricks.
Dame Gertie needs a miracle after their honeypot of pennies is accidentally stolen by three porridge hungry talking bears.
Could they be the new star attraction Gertie’s circus so desperately needs?
Audiences who have enjoyed the show have taken to social media to praise the cast of young and older performers alike.
Next weekend (Sunday, January 7) the Angles is holding its auditions for its production of Roald Dahl’s Matilda JR – the musical.
The auditions for the youth musical, which will open to audiences in Apil, start at 10am.
Packed with to-tapping dance moves and unforgettable tunes, this show promises to captivate audiences of all ages.
