Person injured in Whittlesey flat fire

One person was injured as a result of a flat fire in Whittlesey.

Two fire crews were called to the blaze on Sorrel Avenue yesterday at 2.58pm.

Crews from Stanground and Dogsthorpe along with the north-roaming fire engine, arrived at the scene.

An ambulance was also called, and one casualty was left in the care of paramedics.

Crews were at the scene until around 6.15pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
