'Please stop me' joke from police as they seize car in Wisbech

Officers have joked that a driver who had his car seized in Wisbech was actually asking police to "please stop me".

Posting to their Facebook page Fenland Police, along with a photo of the seized car, they said said: "If you want to drive down Norwich Road in Wisbech without having your seat belt on you are sure to get stopped as this driver found out.

"However trying to pass yourself off as your brother won’t work either, and if you are going to stand there talking to officers make sure your bag of cannabis is not hanging out your pocket.

"Still we got to the bottom of things and got the driver's correct details. Surprisingly, the driver had a provisional driving licence and no insurance.

"The vehicle was seized, driver reported for the traffic offences and the driver was dealt with for the cannabis."
