Police confirm that body found in Wisbech river is woman from Lincolnshire

Police have confirmed that the body of a woman was found in the River Nene yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Nene Parade in Wisbech at 11.45am after reports that a body was seen in the water.

Cambridgeshire Police have confirmed that the body was a woman from Lincolnshire and would not be providing any further information.

Investigations were taking place yesterday along the river, reportedly near the Medivet area.
