Police investigation launches after reports of body in the River Nene in Wisbech

Police are investigating reports that a body was seen in the River Nene.

Officers were called at 11.45am after a report was received that a body was in the river along Nene Parade in Wisbech.

Investigations are currently taking place along the river, reportedly near the Medivet area.

Cambridgeshire Police confirmed that officers are still at the scene and an investigation is ongoing.
