Police issue hundreds of yellow wristbands to residents living with dementia across Fenland

Police have been busy handing out wristbands to help protect some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

Officers have issued hundreds of yellow wristbands – which look like a watch – to people living with dementia across Fenland.

The wristbands contain the owner’s next of kin contact details, and by using a phone it will bring up the information to reunite the person with their family.

To find out more and register your interest for one of the new wristbands, fill out the new Herbert Protocol form online: https://orlo.uk/Herbert-Protocol_OvGuQ

The Herbert Protocol collates key pieces of information for police about a loved one living with dementia – such as a physical description, familiar places, health details and a recent photo – which could be invaluable to help officers search if they go missing.
