Police issue ticket to illegally parked car on St Mary’s Street in Whittlesey after acting on residents’ concerns
Police have spent another week responding to public concerns about illegal parking.
Following reports by members of the public, officers have been out tackling vehicle issues.
Illegal parking on St Mary’s Street in Whittlesey is an issue that is continually raised by residents, so the team spent some time patrolling the area.
Only one vehicle was found to be parked obstructively, so it was issued a ticket.
A spokesperson for the police said they often get complaints about speeding in the 30mph zones across the sector, so they spent some time conducting speed checks on Stonald Road in Whittlesey, March Road in Coates, and Elm Road in March.
No one was found to be exceeding the 30mph speed limit on this occasion.
