Police close Wisbech car meet after concerns about anti-social behaviour
Police closed down a car meet in Wisbech on Saturday evening because of anti-social behaviour.
The Wisbech Neighbourhood Policing Team was called to Tesco in Cromwell Road after concerns were raised about the meet.
Officers received reports of drivers carrying out burn outs, revving engines and upsetting members of the public who were trying to shop.
Due to complaints and concerns for the safety of members of the public, a dispersal order was put in place and those in attendance were asked to leave.
A police spokesman said: "Vehicles left the area and there were no other complaints. The dispersal order remained in place overnight. It was just the odd few people who spoilt it."
