Busy weekend for Cambridgeshire’s Rural Crime Action Team after attending calls for hare coursing concerns and seizing and stopping cars

Vehicles were seized and patrols of the county’s rural areas were conducted by Cambridgeshire Police’s Rural Crime Action Team (RCAT) at the weekend.

During the team's patrols, officers seized a car in Coldham due to the car having an invalid MOT and the driver being uninsured. They have been reported for the offences.

The police stopped a car in Thorney which had been linked to thefts in neighbouring counties. After officers undertook checks, it was revealed that the driver had an expired licence and no insurance, resulting in the car being seized and the driver reported.

Over the weekend, the RCAT also attended calls regarding hare coursing concerns in Doddington.

Those involved were stopped and spoken to, but - after no hare coursing equipment was found in the vehicles - they were given words of advice.
