Porsche found in a ditch in Wimblington after lamppost crash




Emergency services were called to a village road after a car was found in a ditch.

Police attended Honeymead Road in Wimblington in the early hours of Friday after a Porsche was found in a ditch with its hazard lights on.

Officers were assisted by the fire service, UK Power Network, and Fenland Council as the car had knocked a lamppost over and set on fire.

A police spokesperson said: “No one was found at the scene, but some suspected stolen number plates were found in the boot, and investigations into the matter are ongoing.”
